About 60 seconds

Our next speaker started in cybersecurity on August 24, 1995, the day Windows 95 came out, and he has spent the three decades since on the front line. He took the first call on Operation Aurora, the attacks on Google. He led the response to the Sony PlayStation Network breach, and he helped the U.S. government recover from the OPM breach.

He served as SVP of Worldwide Consulting and Chief Experience Officer at Cylance, one of the pioneers of AI-driven security. Then he founded, scaled and sold Cyvatar, a managed security company with zero reported major customer breaches across seven years, protecting more than 200 organizations. His SANS talk on AI-based threats was named a Top Summit Talk of 2024.

Today he runs Cythentic, which brings that same protection to small businesses and families, and he is the author of You're Already a Target. He is here to make one idea stick: you will always be a target, but you don't have to be an easy one. Please welcome Corey White.

Presentation

  • Corey presents from his own laptop. Please provide an HDMI connection at the lectern or stage-front, and a USB-C adapter if your switcher is far from the stage.
  • The deck runs in a web browser, so the presenting laptop needs a reliable internet connection (wired preferred, or a dedicated Wi-Fi network that is not the attendee network).
  • 16:9 screen. A confidence monitor facing the stage is preferred.
  • Corey brings his own wireless slide clicker.

Audio

  • Wireless lavalier or headset microphone, so Corey can move across the stage.
  • One handheld microphone for the audience. Every talk asks the room questions and takes live answers.
  • Audio output from the laptop to the house system for short video clips.

Room and timing

  • 15 minutes on stage before doors open for a sound and screen check.
  • A visible clock or time cues from the stage manager. Corey keeps his own pacing timer and ends on time.
  • Recording is welcome. Please share the footage with Corey after the event.
