Each one works as a 30 to 60 minute conversation, audio or video. Corey tells real stories from the front line, and listeners leave with something they can do that day.

Book Launch
01

You're Already a Target

AI didn't invent new crimes. It took away the cost and skill needed to commit them, so every family and small business is now worth targeting.

Listeners leave withWhy "I'm too small to be a target" stopped being true, and the first three doors to close this week.
Business, entrepreneurship, personal finance, parenting
02

The 263 Doors

The book maps 263 ways attackers get into a home or a small business. Nobody tackles all 263 at once. Corey walks through the few that matter most and how to prove each one is closed.

Listeners leave withA short list of where to start, and a free score that tracks every door they close.
Small business, solopreneurs, family offices
03

Deepfakes Before Money Moves

Three seconds of audio is enough to clone a voice. Corey explains how the fake call, the fake invoice and the fake boss actually work.

Listeners leave withHow to spot a deepfake request, and a family or team code word to set up that night.
General audience, seniors, finance teams, leadership
04

30 Years on the Front Line

The first call on Operation Aurora, the Sony PlayStation Network response, helping the government recover from the OPM breach, then founding, scaling and selling Cyvatar.

Listeners leave withWhat the biggest breaches teach every leader, and what building and selling a company taught Corey.
Founder stories, leadership, career and tech shows
05

The Quantum Clock

Data stolen today can be read tomorrow. Corey explains quantum computing and what it means for encryption in plain English.

Listeners leave withWhat "harvest now, decrypt later" means, and the questions to ask vendors about quantum-safe encryption.
Tech, innovation, fintech, futurist shows
06

Radical Authenticity in Leadership

How leading with honesty and care shaped every company Corey has built, and why trust is the real security control.

Listeners leave withA way to build trust with a team or with customers that holds up under pressure.
Leadership, culture, CEO and coaching shows
07

How to Survive the Future

Corey the futurist: AI agents, deepfakes, quantum computing and whatever comes next. What the next ten years look like for families, workers and small businesses, and how to stay ahead of it instead of reacting to it.

Listeners leave withA plain-English picture of what is coming, and the habits that keep them safe no matter which technology arrives next.
Futurist, tech, innovation, business and general audience shows
08

Phish or Legit

Phishing is still the way most attacks begin. Corey plays the game he ran live at the Mastercard Small Business Summit: real messages, and the listener decides if each one is a phish or legit. Individuals, micro businesses, solopreneurs and influencers are the new targets, and the easiest ones.

Listeners leave withThe tells that give a phish away, and why "too small to matter" is exactly what attackers count on.

Questions Corey Loves to Answer

Use them as written, mix them up, or go off script. Corey is comfortable either way.

  1. You started in cybersecurity on the day Windows 95 came out. What has changed most since then, and what hasn't changed at all?
  2. Your book is called You're Already a Target. Who are you writing it for, and why now?
  3. AI is making scams cheaper and better. What does that look like for an ordinary family?
  4. How does a voice-clone or deepfake call actually work, and what is the one habit that beats it?
  5. The book maps 263 doors attackers use. If a listener only has an hour this weekend, which doors should they close first?
  6. Why do small businesses get hit so often, and what does "proven peace of mind" mean for them?
  7. You took the first call on Operation Aurora and led the response to the Sony PlayStation Network breach. What did those moments teach you?
  8. You founded, scaled and sold Cyvatar. What would you tell a founder starting out today?
  9. Quantum computing keeps coming up. Should anyone outside a lab be worried yet?
  10. You call yourself a bit of a futurist. What does the world look like ten years from now, and how do ordinary people survive it?
  11. AI agents will soon act on our behalf. What happens when an attacker tricks the agent instead of the person?
  12. At the Mastercard Small Business Summit you ran a live game called Phish or Legit. What surprised the room most?
  13. Why are solopreneurs, micro businesses and influencers the new favorite targets, and why are they so easy to hit?
  14. Phishing is decades old. Why does it still work, and what is the one tell everyone should look for?
  15. What is one thing every listener can do today, in ten minutes, to be a harder target?

Introduction, Ready to Read

Reads cleanly out loud, word for word.

About 20 seconds

My guest today started in cybersecurity on August 24, 1995, the day Windows 95 came out. He has led the response to some of the biggest breaches of the internet era, including the Sony PlayStation Network breach, and he founded, scaled and sold the security company Cyvatar. Today he is the founder and CEO of Cythentic and the author of the new book You're Already a Target. Corey White, welcome to the show.

About 45 seconds

My guest today has spent three decades on the front line of cybersecurity. He took the first call on Operation Aurora, the attacks on Google. He led the response to the Sony PlayStation Network breach, and he helped the U.S. government recover from the OPM breach.

He served as SVP of Worldwide Consulting and Chief Experience Officer at Cylance, then founded, scaled and sold Cyvatar, a managed security company with zero reported major customer breaches across seven years. His SANS talk on AI-based threats was named a Top Summit Talk of 2024.

Today he runs Cythentic, which protects small businesses and families, and his new book, You're Already a Target, shows anyone how to close the doors attackers use. Corey White, welcome to the show.
